Oh, Sweet Sock!

Oh, sweet sock! How I love thee, You keep my feet so warm and free. From woolen to cotton and silk, My love for you is like milk.

You come in all colors and sizes, And you replace my old, worn-out guises. From ankle to knee length, You give me a sense of strength.

When I wear you during winters, You keep me cozy and don’t let me shiver. In summers, you’re light and airy, And your fabrics make my feet look fairy.

Sock Problems

But sometimes, my love for you turns fickle, When your elastic begins to tickle. I curse and swear as I try to adjust, And finally, I take you off, my trust.

And sometimes, you abandon me, In the dryer, under the bed, or somehow flee. So I search and hunt, high and low, Until I find you, my beloved sock, you glow.

But the worst of all is the smell, A foul odor that puts me under a spell. So I wash you and dry you, and spray, Until you’re new and fresh every day.

My Sock Fashion

When I walk in shops, I see rows and rows, Of socks that make my heart explode, From polka dots to stripes and neon lights, Everyone unique, with their own delights.

But I love my simple white socks, That look perfect with my sneaker locks. And when I dress up for any event, My black cotton socks are my perfect sent.

So oh, sweet sock, you’re more than just an attire, You’re like my best friend, who never expire. Through thick and thin, you’re always there, To keep me comfortable and without any care.
